All codes above refer to the same curve family — just named differently by each manufacturer.
The P08 is built for one thing: scoring goals with violent, accurate shots. A deep, wide-open mid-curve that generates enormous lift and shot power from the mid-blade. Alexander Ovechkin's one-timer from the left circle — arguably the most feared shot in NHL history — is made possible in part by this blade geometry. The open face means the puck naturally elevates on release, and the deep curve stores energy for maximum snap. Not a defensive curve.
Power forwards and pure goal scorers who shoot hard and often, particularly from the circles and off one-timers. The P08 rewards players with a strong bottom hand and a sweeping, powerful release. Exceptional for one-timers, off-wing shots, and any situation where raw shot power matters more than subtlety.
