All codes above refer to the same curve family, just named differently by each manufacturer.
The P77 is a mid-curve blade with a flat profile - one of Bauer's older patterns that predates the current P-number system's dominance. It sits in the same general family as the PM9 and P38 but with subtly different blade geometry optimised for control and consistency. The slight curve and neutral face make it one of the most honest blades in hockey - what you put into your shot is exactly what you get out, with no curve-induced spin or exaggerated lift. Popular with players who came up in the 1990s when flatter curves were the norm.
Players who want maximum consistency and minimal blade-induced variables in their game. Excellent for two-way players, defensive forwards, and veterans who value reliability. The flat profile makes backhand passes predictable and face-off wins more consistent. A good choice for players who have struggled with deeper curves causing errant shots.
