All codes above refer to the same curve family — just named differently by each manufacturer.
The P71 is a mid-curve pattern associated with Evgeni Malkin — a moderate, balanced blade built for a power forward who shoots hard and moves the puck with authority. The mid-contact point suits Malkin's signature wrist shot from the circles and his ability to make tape-to-tape passes across the ice. Less extreme than the P08, it strikes a balance between shooting power and puck control.
Power forwards who shoot from the circles and half-wall. A versatile mid-curve for players who need both shooting and passing in equal measure. Works well at all skill levels for players who don't want the extremes of a P28 or P02.
